Symmes Chapel is the place were the couple first meet. An outdoor chapel constructed in 1941 it is located at the top of Sand Mountain. The chapel was given to camp YMCA Greenville, SC. by Fred W. Pap’s Pears

Pap\'s Pears

This is a pencil drawing of some pears I picked off of Mr. Suttles pear trees. He very carefully fertilized and pruned his trees he always kelped them looking so nice. When ever the pears came into season I always enjoyed picking and eating the fruits of his labor. Mr. Suttles was my boss for six years, I referred to him as Pap. The business is now ran by his son and I am still working for the firm, and love my job. Mr. Suttles passed away in 1996, and is truly missed by all.

Carved Door

Carved Door 1

This is a Relief Carved Door. I prepaired the pine boards, designed and carved this wood door for one of my clients. I wanted to express the love for nature that this family shares. It was hard to capture all the details in picture form.. Should be able to see carvings of a bird, oak leaves, acorns, cattails, lady bugs, dragonfly, frogs, fish, quails, a hunting dog, a couple fishing and hunting. This is a very sentimental piece, loved every minute I worked on it.

Issac

Tempera

This is an Egg Tempera of a school mate, co-worker and a good friend. The colors I used for this painting are mostly gray, brown and white. I used very fine brush for detail work and used finger to paint background. He is now a musician. He choose the song at which he performed at my wedding. It was a surprise to both my wife and I. But as it turned out we could not have chosen a more appropriate song.
